Loknath, formerly the chef at Lal's Indian Cuisine, has opened Shakti Bar and Indian Restaurant on Billy Folly Road in Simpson Bay, across from the Atrium Hotel. The menu contains all your Indian favorites: curries, tandooris, masalas, tikka, korma, nans, and more. They are open from noon until 10:30 every day. The dining room is spacious with sea breezes coming in from nearby Simpson Bay. Red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines are available, plus a wide range of rums, scotches, tequilas, bourbons, and cordials. The location is quite convenient for the Kim Sha beach crowd. Come on in for a cold one at sundown, featuring Presidente, Heineken, Corona, Kingfisher, Stella, Coors Light, Miller Lite, Bud, and Bud Light. Takeout is available.
